Good Samaritan & VSS Supporter on Chavadi's New Home

Friends,

Few Good Samaritans and VSS Supporters visited the new home for children in Ibrahimpatnam and the reactions are:

"It's always made me happy every time I went to see Chavadi kids but this time I was damn happy don't is it because of visiting them after long time or seeing kids happy or it's new place effect. Whatever it was they made my day...:) spent sometime n had lunch with them. New place has 2 medium sized rooms on 1st floor for kids to stay n sleep. Their school was walkable distance from home. Owners were on ground floor. There was plenty of open space to play in front of home, full greenery and water, 300+ yrs old small shiva temple adjacent to home and 4 white dogs :)

Kids even kept small Ganesh Idol nearby along with few other children.  Overall, kids were happy and most of them liked this new place. But what they missed most is people who used visit them in gachibowli. It's been ard 3 months they moved in here but they said hardly anyone came to see them.

I know it's little far but please plan once in a while to see these kids. They miss u all so much."

VSS Update | Venu - Visually Challenged (Partially) Student | CA Course

We hope you remember Venu, a Visually Challenged (Partially) Student for whom we are sponsoring the CA course. We would like to give an update on how we are supporting him.

We sponsored CPT course for him and he has shown very good results in it. After CPT, during his IPCC coaching in Hyderabad, due to some demotivating factors and information from one of his friends and poor coaching standards he lost interest and depressed.

With help of Lohit and senior visually challenged students (who has confidence in Venu's talent) we encouraged Venu to build his confidence. Venu came to know about Master Minds through his senior who is also a blind student and when we reached Master Minds for a support they promised to exclude tuition fees for Venu.

Now Venu is ready to join IPCC course in Master Minds where classes are going to start from 2014 Jan last week. Venu wants to complete Group A & B in single attempt and he is very confident that for sure Group A will be completed in 2014 November exams.

Once Group A is completed, he can take Article-ship and for which he will get stipend which means from there on wards he can lead his own life. But he won't stop there. His dream is to complete CA course (IPCC 2 groups (4+3 subjects), 2 1/2 years Article-ship, CA final exams (2 stages)), which means if everything goes fine, from now by end of 4 years Venu will become certified Chartered Accountant. We wish him ALL THE VERY BEST.

Our close buddy Sastry (Switzerland) promised his support to Venu's expenses. Also Gopal (Chennai) has mailed us confirming his support to Venu and asked us to extend more support to Venu.

Though tuition fees is supported by Master Minds, we need to support Venu by sponsoring his Food & Accommodation fees. After making a rough calculation for Venus's IPCC course, we have listed the below things.

IPCC Tuition Fees :  Huge amount (We thank Master Minds for a great support)

Hostel Annual Fee : 17,000/- (its just for staying in college premises)
Mess  per month:      2200/-
Admission Fee:         1500/-
IPCC Materials:         3500/-
Clothes:                   1500/-

We are thinking that we may spend at least INR 50,000/- by end of the course.

Note: We don't want to take the money out, from which we have collected for poor children to whom we have been supporting from last four years.

We are thankful to MasterMinds, Lohit, Prasad, Vasu, Ravi and everyone of you without which our Venu's confidence might have not grown up to take up this big challenge. We wish him all the very best.

VSS | Superstar Rajni Birthday Celebrations at Chavadi

We have grandly celebrated 'Thalaiva' Superstar Rajnikanth sir birthday yesterday (12-12-13) at Chavadi. It was a great time with children. The pictures of Rajni sir crafted by them were simply superb.

We were joined by few patrons from ISB who came there to celebrate, as two of them share same birth date with Rajni sir, and  we asked them to join the fun. We felt very happy on looking at their energy level in decorating the place for celebrations.

We are able to capture some of those memorable moments. We have uploaded the photos to share the happiness with you people.

We would like to thank Vasu, Ganesh & Venkat who are able to spend quality time with these poor students even in their tight work schedules.

Govind, without you it is not possible. Chavadi Students are very much thankful to you & our Thalaiva for giving them, a wonderful evening :)

VSS Update | Rice Bag Donation...

Friends,

Last Sunday (08 Dec 2013), our close friend Kunadharaju Ganesh has donated Rice Bags, Eggs & Biscuits to Chavadi Ashram. When we were at Metro to buy them, I just recalled our first donation to Chavadi. On that day (01 Mar 2009), we purchased rice packets from metro and distributed them to Ashram. When I recalled that day, it was a memorable moment. Since 2009 we have been successfully supporting poor students in Chavadi and the best part is people who are behind that successful initiation are still supporting us. Year after year, many people have been joining hands to this noble cause just because of our commitment and positive words.

Vivekananda Seva Samithi is very much thankful to each and every one of us for being so supportive in its tasks. I wish we continue our support like this in coming years as well.

I was very much thrilled with full of happiness on recalling those days and our successful tasks, hope you people will feel very happy on looking at these photos.

Link to some of the photos taken during our visit to Chavadi Poor Students Ashram.

Please visit our blog: http://susamskaaram.blogspot.com to recall the list of activities we have performed in all these years.

On recalling those days, hope some more people will join hands to this noble cause. :-)

Note: I hope you remember that tomorrow (Thursday, 12-12-2013 6.00 pm - 9.00 pm), we are celebrating "Thalaiva" Superstar Rajnikanth sir birthday (on request by one of our close friend who is donating big dinner) at Chavadi poor students Ashram. We wish you all join celebrations & have great fun with these poor students.

VSS | Update

We visited Ashramam early this month, as Mr.Sravan has sponsored dinner to poor students. Sravan is travelling to US for higher studies, hence he shared his happiness by sponsoring dinner to Chavadi students.

Sravan, we thank you a lot for your valuable presence and great donation to Chavadi students. We wish you all the very best for your bright future.

We had a long chat with current 10th class students. We have discussed on their time table for preparation, on their test results and their sincere attempt for achieving good results.

We are trying all the ways possible to tune them to set their target for at least 70% marks in their final exams. Luckily, respected Siva Rama Krishna who is a teacher of Mathematics and Physics in Delhi Public School (DPS) has visited the Ashram and has promised to take special classes on Science & Maths subjects.

We are very much thankful to Siva Rama Krishna garu for the great support to these poor students.

Friends, we request you people as well to spend some of your free time with these students and motivate them to get good results.

Please visit http://susamskaaram.blogspot.in for VSS updates and http://www.tccws.org/ for Chavadi Ashramam updates.

VSS | Update

We would like to share two important things about our contribution to poor students in Chavadi Child welfare society.
Recently, wehave seen many kind hearts sponsoring dinner to poor student’s in the ashram. All the credit goes to our friend 'Santosh'. In his words, “Though my financial contribution to VSS is less, I will spread the word about VSS and will try my best to join many people to this noble cause.”  And he is doing it! Any function / gathering happens in his apartment, he is trying to donate some food to Ashram, many of his office friends, colony friends are sponsoring dinner for their birthdays, wedding anniversaries, onsite travels. In addition to that, they are donating good amount as well. Thanks Santu. Friends, I would like to share this, so that we can inspire from him and do our bit to join many more people to this noble cause.
FYI- If we give 1000/-, they will serve food for 32 students in that Ashram. People who are all interested can contact Aneesh (9908507838), manager of that Ashram to sponsor dinner in working days and even lunch/dinner on Sundays.
I felt very happy when popular film maker Mr. Madhura Sreedhar has visited poor students Ashramam. Actually, he is very busy in production work of 4 films, pre-production of work of 1 film and managing Madhura Audio Company. Even he is so much occupied; he visited ashramam with his family and promised them to do his best contribution to poor students. "Sir, we are very much thankful to you". Friends, I would like to share this, so that we can inspire from him and will plan our activities to make some space to spend valuable time with poor students.

FYI- People who are all interested to spend some valuable time and give moral support to these poor students,  can reach them after 5.30pm every day and on Sundays you can reach them at any time.

Friends, VSS is thankful to all of you who have been supporting these poor students either by giving money or by giving your valuable time for them. We believe that you will be supporting them in future as well.
